Impacting Over 5000 Rural Families Across Three Villages

In a collaborative effort to combat water scarcity and promote sustainable development, BASF India Limited, NAAM Foundation, and Shripatrao Katkar Foundation (SKF) have successfully completed a significant water conservation project in the Hingoli district of Maharashtra. This initiative, which focused on enhancing water access and conservation, is set to benefit more than 5000 families in the villages of Bhingi, Ambala, and Waranga Masai.In a collaborative effort to combat water scarcity and promote sustainable development, BASF India Limited, NAAM Foundation, and Shripatrao Katkar Foundation (SKF) have successfully completed a significant water conservation project in the Hingoli district of Maharashtra. This initiative, which focused on enhancing water access and conservation, is set to benefit more than 5000 families in the villages of Bhingi, Ambala, and Waranga Masai.

Project Highlight

Bhingi Village

3 km water canal was deepened and widened, ensuring a more reliable water supply for both drinking and agricultural purposes.

Ambala Village

A percolation tank was rejuvenated to improve groundwater recharge and sustain water availability throughout the year.

Waranga Masai Village

The construction of a farm pond, along with the deepening and widening of water canals, was carried out to enhance water storage and usage efficiency for the local farming community.

This collaborative project was met with enthusiastic participation from the village communities and has significantly improved their water security. The involvement of SKF in this initiative underscores its commitment to empowering rural communities through sustainable development practices.

The Shripatrao Katkar Foundation’s involvement in this project reflects its ongoing mission to support rural development and improve the quality of life in water-scarce regions.
